Abundance
Meg Brownell
10/27/2026 - 11/09/2026
Opening Reception Thursday, October 29th 7-9pm
"My work explores the connection between femininity and abundance, particularly through painting. I enjoy playing with depth, whether that is in the variety of colors and textures I create or in the other media I include. I make abstract color paintings that emphasize dense collections of marks. I also make realistic watercolors of common spaces (specifically stores and markets), with superimposed lists on top. I am interested in visually complex compositions and variety; in experience, day to day life, and in mark making. My work explores the contrast between control and chaos in aesthetics but also in the mundanity of daily life." - Meg Brownell
